
I would teach them one technique (loft, chamfer, union) and then present a sketch they need to duplicate using that technique (and previous skills learned) then give them a simple challenge to solve a more open ended problem that could be made using your new technique. I did use google a lot to come up with ideas when I was stuck. Too much talking and the key steps typically happen fast so your always pausing and rewinding. I also tried YouTube but I’m personally not a fan. It got more complicated as you went and was easy to work out step by step.
They had basic 2d and 3D sketches with dimensions and I just modeled them in fusion.
finally I got a book on 1,000 cad drawings. It was very inconsistent, sometimes duplicating lessons multiple times even. Then I picked up a doggy fusion book that was basically scans of a professors notes. I picked up a book on another older cad program that was well written, but it was frustrating.
